Band today.

Dad fetched me today cause my parents were on their way to attend tea-ceremony. My cousin, who I doubt I've ever seen is gonna marry today. Have to attend wedding dinner tonight. Only thing I'm looking forward is how ugly the bride is going to be and the groom too and my sharks' fin. Yaya, I'm so mean. Whatever.

There's only 17 days to the concert.

Well, 2008 is gonna come to the end in around 10 hours. and 2009 is gonna start.
Too many things happened this year. Mostly good though.

I remember sitting in one corner of the class at the start of the year and I didn't talk to any of my classmates for the first three days. WeiLin was the first person I guess.

Btw, this friday is CCA Open House.

I still vividly remember my batch CCA Open House. My eyes were all set for band. haha. The band played March-Bou-Shu and Shrek Dance Party. Not too sure if there's another song. I went forward after the whole Open House thingy and asked for the bass clarinet. HuiMin&Vanessa were like yes! Finally someone asks to try out the bass clarinet. They seemed very happy.

And then the following friday when we're choosing our CCAs,I remember JJ asking the HuiLing whether did she get in for countless times. Hannah ALMOST didn't get in.

Then the following week, Mrs Chuah was choosing who to which instrument. I was to go to clarinet section. And it was really sian with all the basics and the songs such as Hot Cross Buns that I played when I was in P2/P3. At first, I wanted to be in clarinet section and be first clarinet later on. Odelia knew that I was bored so she passed me the Yorkshire Ballad score for me to play. Thanks Odelia, I appreciated that. And the first few bars of the song was stuck in my head for weeks.

Later on, Rechelle asked me to try out Warabe-Uta Fantasy but I can't play. So ya. I was depressed. Then Vanessa came and asked me to try out the bass clarinet for Warabe. I played the song. and it was then that I realised that bass clarinet was where I really belonged. I was having a few difficulties with my embrochure for clarinet for years up to now. But for bass clarinet, it was I guess, a perfect fit. Probably cause of my big mouth both physically and literally.

I was stunned when Vanessa showed me March-Bou-Shu. I thought it was the clarinet part with all those running notes but that was in my dream. My first encounter with running notes believe it or not.

Then I got closer to my classmates and I was back to my boisterous self. The rest was history. We had cliques, had quarrels with each other, problems with Christine. But it was a fun year, filled with much laughter and antagonising our teachers. The teacher we most respected and love even GUANWEN was Miss Poh, our bio/chem teacher. She was no doubt a great teacher.

The day when we got back our report books, my results were shitty. 30 in class, 287 in level. My dad was clearly disappointed and was silent throughout the way home. It was the first time my dad was like this.Even when I scored 248 for PSLE, he still didn't act this way.

Summer Camp'08. The camp which was the most fun and memorable camp to me. Yeah, our score wasn't good, we quarreled but I had great group members and two leaders, which one I wasn't fond of. Thanks Tyan, JJ, Gemaine, Cuidan, Joscelin,YunXuan, KarMei, Sherry and WeiLin for the fun times. RACHEL! I miss you.

13 July, NBC 2008. The most memorable day of 2008 and one of most memorable in my whole life. AHBand managed to clinch Gold with Distinction. Though I have to admit, it wasn't the best playing of AHBand. Some parts were kinda screwed up especially Warabe-Uta. But the soloists played without a single hitch.

EOYs. I was in a super bad mood during the period. Thanks ppl for bearing with my tantrums especially JJ.

Once again, report books. 10 in class. Really happy. But Lyn's clique very QB. Apart from Lyn, the rest all took up the top 10 positions.

Last day of school, Tyan's surprise bday party. yup. I still remember tyan's crying face. and the cake fight. I couldn't get Gemaine cause she has SJAB later on.

Koek Ching - who knew me before I knew her. Long story. But she's linked to me cause my dad's best friend is her ___________ de ___________ de___________. Super complicated. I tried explaining to Guanwen once. He listened then, orh. You were saying? haha. He didn't bother to understand the second time. too complex.

Lyn - my fave pariah!! And scored full marks for the last history test. Lyn, I'll remember this humiliation okay.

Candice - the quietest in fivesome and also always there to give chinese proverbs and sayings.

Gemaine - the one who acted fierce but just made me and JJ laughed instead. haha.
but also the one who was there to support me after 2.4 km run.

Abigail - I'll remember the morning assemblies. and I KNOW YOU LOVE ME OKAY. NO NEED TO DENY. haha. I'm still gonna suan you next year.

RuXin - My best seating partner although you really very noisy leh. I still remember there's one time during history, ms fadhzilah gave us a warning not to talk again. then after history, ruxin just went boom! And started ranting and rambling so fast and endless. I asked her to just shut up and she went indignant exclaiming EH! I ONE PERIOD NEVER TALK ALREADY LEH! MUST LET EVERYTHING OUT!

Anyway here are my New Year Resolutions. You can look out and see whther did I fulfil it not.

1.) Be super pro in playing the bass clarinet, be it tone or rhythm or others.
2.) All A in report slips
3.) Never to fail or get a single C in any test.
4.) To improve on maths and geog
5.) Better in the rest of the subjects
6.) Stop making first impressions.
7.) Nicer temper
8.) Stop procrastinating
9.) Stop slacking
