This will be the last day of 2009, and in another 2 hours 15 mins, it'll the be the year 2010 where a new chapter of life awaits me. So as what ShiMin and I agreed on, no matter what thing bothers us or how sian we are, we must SMILE to welcome the new year.
Secondary 3 next year. Feels weird o.O It'll definitely be a challenging year ahead with much change in academics so I guess I can't afford to slack much. Or procrastinate. I still have yet to complete my holiday homework but at least I have a sense of accomplishment cause I managed to complete my science worksheets and chinese situational writing x) So I left with a Chinese book to read and one book report. But a bit (inserts an appropriate word) that I have to bring over uncompleted work to a new year.
2009 has been a... happening year for me. There were laughter, smiles, frowns and tears. Most importantly, I entered this new chapter of life, and came out triumphantly in the sense of emotionally and mentally. I grew stronger, more mature and seen many things in a new, different light and have different perspective on life. Of course, I lost too, like a friendship.
From my 14th birthday to my very first concert with AHBand, to SYF and then to MYEs, to HAK 46.3 to EOYs and finally now, preparation for La Danse Finale'10. This journey has been quite short but then it has been fulfilling and stregthen me, especially in emotional terms. I learnt how to take disappointment better, how to face setbacks with a positive attitude and more firm and assured of my own self. More confident too I guess. I'm able to do things and accomplish them which I have never thought I would. Hallelujah, Praise the Lord for giving me the strength to do so [:
I met new friends, gained brand new friendship, understood more of one another, but I lost a few.
2009 is a more trying year for me as compared to 2008. I guess, 2010 will be more trying than 2009 itself. Not knowing what it has in store for me honestly scares me. I'm not a person who can go by something without a single clue or plan. There must always be some direction, and honestly right now, I don't have any so it's like groping in the darkness without knowing what is lurking around. But, isn't all this part of life. Compromise, then move on. That's what I learnt today. There's always something to be unhappy about, to whine about, to complain about, about how unfair it is, how sian it is. But honestly, it's all just your perspective, on how you look on things itself. You may think it's unfair, but others would think otherwise. If you look things at another angle, another light, you'll see a different thing altogether. It has all got to do with the attitude.
In any case, let's just face 2010 with a positive attitude, and what it holds for us. At least, that's what I'm gonna do (: time to wish those who means alot to me a very Happy New Year and may 2010 be a great year ahead for all of us, and especially AHBand, with La Danse Finale coming up in 23 days.
