⇨Third day of OST! Third day of shopping trip! Today was good, I guess! Final day of shopping! And thank god my grandma came out of the operation theatre safely! Bro’s interview for University of Glasgow was okay too! Even though I know I agreed to 3 months of cold war with him, I really hope he’d be able to get into Glasgow! It’s like the best university in the world for veterinary practice! It’d really be a waste if my brother doesn’t grow up to be a vet since I had always imagined him to be one since like forever. Went back to Zhuhai today for shopping! Bought 3 more pairs of shoes and some scarves for Finland! I did hesitate on buying the last shoe though.. think it was the most expensive one .. SO in total, I bought like 7 pairs of shoes. (the uncles were like shaking their heads in disapproval, and one even said lucky you’re not my daughter) BUT HEY. Firstly, I bought 4 pairs of sneakers cause I could use it for JC as school shoes! AND it’s really like half the price here as compared to SG. Quality’s about the same too. One pair of shoes is for use in Finland (snow boots) and the other two pairs are for special events! Really. People should stop judging things at its face value. And there’s two more aunties who looked at my mum’s shopping bags and in a condescending tone, said “from experience, I also once bought so many stuff but in the end, I didn’t use it and just gave them to my maids.” Seriously, the mentality of some Singaporeans are horrible. They think maids are like servants or stuff, discarding their unwanted stuff to them. To put it nicely, it’s not to waste such stuff. To put it crudely, and frankly, they just don’t want it and deem it as clutter. If it’s LV bag, I doubt they’d even think of giving it. AND IS MY MUM AND I CLOSE TO THEM!? Why are they commenting on so much, and criticizing us!? Did we offend them?! PLEASE. They practically ignored our existence. Only their husbands did. We do our own stuff, we spend our own money, also not theirs, our life, comment so much for what! Talk to us in that smug manner and condescending tone for what! In terms of age, my mum is older so they should show some freaking respect. That generation always preach about we, teenagers, the younger generation, having no manners or whatsoever. HA. The pot calling the kettle black. Please look into the mirror first before saying others. Obviously, we are “rude” cause they’re rude too. –rolls eyes- AND it’s not as if we said stuff like “oh from experience, gambling will just waste all our money. Win some, lose more. I gamble for a while then give up cause it’s basically throwing money down the drain.” EVERY NIGHT GO DOWN AND GAMBLE FOR ALMOST THE WHOLE NIGHT. GAMBLE GAMBLE GAMBLE. AT LEAST MY MUM AND I PUT MONEY TO GOOD USE, EVEN IF IT’S QUITE LAVISH. THEY LEH. GAMBLE ALSO NEVER WIN ANYTHING. SOMEMORE LOSE PASSPORT –ROLLS EYES- THANK GOD THE STAFF ARE HONEST AND ALL AND KEPT THE PASSPORT FOR THEM. WHAT’S EVEN BETTER IS THE PERSON WHO LOST IT DIDN’T EVEN KNOW SHE LOST IT TIL MUCH LATER. BEST. Don’t comment about us if we didn’t comment about you. Different people have different way of spending their money and limits. I admit, my dad prob spoilt me but c’mon he’s so much stricter about other stuff. Maybe compared to others, I’m considered ruder, but I never step on your toes before. I mean, I’m like a freaking hermit when I’m with strangers. I’m sure I never said or did anything to offend anyone who I just met. And at least I know gambling is a bad leisure activity. Yes, initially when you win, there’s that rush of adrenaline and exhilaration but at the end of the day, you’ll lose your money. While you lost that $100, I used the same value to buy 5 pairs of sneakers. While you lost that another $500 the next night, I used the same value to buy another 2 pairs of shoes, 1 jacket, 1 iphone cover, and some expensive tonics like birds’ nest. HA. Who’s the winner now? |
